The Complete Elvis (Delilah/Putnam, 1982)

After my first book on Elvis was published I was asked to edit an anthology and comprehensive reference work about his life, music and movies. The book contained an exhaustive A-Z encyclopedia that I annotated, along with pieces by Lester Bangs, Stanley Booth, Glenn O'Brien, and Lenny Kaye, among others.  Having now read virtually everything ever written about Elvis, my contribution to the anthology was the essay “After the Flood: Elvis and His Literary Legacy.”
