When VH1 President Michael Hirschorn read the rave review of Can’t Find My Way Home in Rolling Stone, the network approached me about turning it into a multi-part television series. I scripted the book into four hour long episodes and the series, a coproduction of Sundance, became one of the most successful doc series in the network’s history: With repeated viewings it was seen by a combined audience of well over 100 million people.

Classic television, packed with magnificent archival footage and consistently profound insights about the role that illicit drug use has had in shaping our nation.
